Signs of the Time

In September, I wrote some things that I believe will be significant as we have now moved into the Hebraic year 5782. As we are closing in on the end of the year 2021 and the beginning of 2022, we are starting to see the first of many signs that spoke to those words that I shared. To briefly recap, the Hebraic year 5782 and the incoming Gregorian year 2022 will be a time when we shall see more emphasis on speaking. More specifically, it will be a time in which there will be both emphasis on agreement and unity in speaking, as well as evidence of division through speaking.

If you happened to see the recent results of the election held on November 2, 2021, you may have noticed that much of the outcome in Virginia was based on the people speaking in opposition to the prevailing democratic worldview regarding parental rights and education. Voters let their voices be heard by announcing in unity that they believed that parents should have a say in what their children should learn and what’s best for their community.

The further we move through this year 5782 and even through 2022, we are going to see an increase in voices rising up to say that they do not agree with much of the policymaking that is being pushed on people at the federal, state, and local levels. There is an awakening of many people who are understanding that a nation divided cannot stand and if we do not stand against the political elites who say that citizens have no rights or freedoms, then this nation will surely fall.

Even now, there are plans all across the country by many sectors who are striking or planning strikes to resist unconstitutional mandates being pushed by both government and corporations. We’re seeing it in the airline industry as pilots and others in the aviation industry have forced the cancellation of flights, while the airlines try to cover it up with reports of “weather-related issues” as the reason for the mass cancellations. There are many in New York who have shut down emergency services, fire stations, and more over unnecessary mandates.

Now, there are reports of many health professionals that are taking a stand and letting their voices be heard. As the reported 20,000 nurses and medical professionals prepare to strike, people are taking notice and it is adding pressure to government and corporations to decide if forcing people to do things that violate human rights is really worth risking their bottom line and agendas.

I’ve mentioned over several other posts that we are in a season for builders, pioneers, and innovators. Part of building requires unity and agreement. Securing a nation and building it also requires people who are willing to stand for what is right and stand together. In Nehemiah, we read about a people who dared to rebuild the walls of the nation by standing together with a tool in one hand and a weapon in the other. Together, they resisted those who did not want to see a nation restored.

As we move through the remainder of this year and well into next year, we are going to see how much unity and agreement there will be in the voice of the people in the United States of America. The election of this November is a sign and a catalyst for the change that we can expect. These are exciting times. May the signs we see, inspire, encourage, and embolden you to determine whether you will have a voice that is in agreement with a move towards freedom or one that is for a nation divided.
