The Dangers of a Hypnotic November

Recently, I was considering a prophetic warning which was given by the late prophet Kim Clement. For those of you who are familiar with his ministry, he was one of the many prophets who had prophesied of Donald Trump becoming president for two terms. While many prophets backed off of their message when it appeared that he would not have a second term, others who stood fast agreed with what they heard until it came to fruition. Seeing these prophecies unfold has caused many to feel vindicated and hopeful for the days to come.

However, one particular word shared by Kim Clement on November 1, 2014, still seems to be concerning for many, as it speaks of what he called, “A hypnotic November!” In this prophetic word, Kim shares how when you think of hypnosis, it is usually something that puts you to sleep, yet what God was revealing to him was that what would take place would actually be something that mesmerizes people between November and December because of the exposures that would come.
We know that the words hypnosis and mesmerizing are very similar. It speaks in one respect to being spellbound. There is a great danger in being spellbound because we are not in control and are becoming susceptible to the whims of others or other things.
In the recent weeks following the election, we’ve seen quite several exposures taking place both within Christian and non-Christian circles. Some prophets are being dealt with for various reasons, as they relate to the election. There are many in mainstream media who are being exposed for how they’ve chosen to communicate the events of the election. Many are facing a backlash from both within and outside the industry.
As the dust settles from the 2024 presidential election, many people, both Christians, and non-Christians alike, might feel a sense of relief and a desire to rest Now that it appears that Donald Trump is heading back to the White House. However, this period of post-election calm can be deceptive. The Bible warns us about the dangers of complacency and the importance of staying vigilant. There’s yet a great shaking happening and just because there should be a peaceful transfer of power in January does not mean that the weeks ahead will be peaceful.
We already see things brewing between Russia and Ukraine. While things between Israel and Hamas might be cooling, things are not exactly settled. We still have a great number of people in this nation who have not been vetted and their intentions are not clear. Many may have ideologies and religious beliefs that conflict with those of this nation and her interests. All this to say, now is not the time to take it easy, simply because one outcome was met. Proverbs 6:9-11, Proverbs 20:13, and Proverbs 24:33 serve as key reminders that the hard work is yet ahead, and we must remain diligent in our efforts.
Proverbs 6:9-11
"How long will you lie there, you sluggard? When will you get up from your sleep? A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man."
Proverbs 20:13
"Do not love sleep or you will grow poor; stay awake and you will have food to spare."
Proverbs 24:33
"A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest—and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man."
These verses highlight the dangers of falling into a state of complacency. After the election, it might be tempting to take it easy and assume that the hard work is over. However, this is precisely the time when we need to be most vigilant. The outcome of the election is just the beginning, and there is much work to be done to ensure that the incoming administration is upheld in prayer and supported with wisdom and guidance.
Strategic Praying
One of the most important tasks ahead of us is in the area of strategic praying. We must pray for the safety, wisdom, and protection of the new leaders. As President-elect Trump is gathering his cabinet members and other leaders for his administration, there will no doubt be many who question his appointments because they do not fit the mold of yesteryears. Many of them are Washington outsiders who are not beholden to the system they’ve been brought in to change. This strategic praying involves not just occasional prayers, but a consistent and focused effort to seek God's guidance for those in positions of power. Our prayers should cover every aspect of governance, from policy decisions to personal integrity.
The Practical Work of Being Watchmen
In addition to prayer, we must also take on the practical work of being watchmen. This means staying informed about the actions and decisions of the new administration, holding them accountable, and advocating for policies that align with biblical principles. It also involves being active in our communities and supporting initiatives that promote justice, peace, and the common good.
Focusing Efforts to Uphold the Incoming Administration
Our efforts should be directed towards upholding the incoming administration in prayer and action. This includes:
Praying for Safety: Asking God to protect the leaders from harm and to give them the strength to withstand challenges. We cannot forget that there were two attempts made on President Trump’s life leading up to the election, and just because he won does not mean that the danger is gone. He, his family, and those around him may still face credible threats to their lives. We must remain vigilant to pray for God’s protection and for a smooth transition.
Praying for Wisdom: Seek God's wisdom for the leaders as they make important decisions that affect the nation. It can be easy for many of us to think that we know what is being faced and how we might go about doing things if we were in their place, yet we do not know the depth of opposition or the obstacles that must be overcome to accomplish the goals that have been set. We must pray that wisdom guides every decision and that there are those near everyone in the administration with a spirit akin to Joseph, Nehemiah, Esther, Ezra, and Daniel.
Praying for Guidance: Ask God to guide the leaders in the right direction and to help them govern with integrity and compassion. We have lived through too many years of leadership that have been void of both integrity and compassion, and many in our nation don’t even know what it means to expect better from our nation’s leaders. Pray that those entering will maintain that commitment to be integral and compassionate to all they’ve determined to serve.
Conclusion
The outcome of the 2024 presidential election marks the beginning of a new chapter, but it is not a time for complacency. As Christians, we are called to be vigilant, to pray strategically, and to engage in the practical work of being watchmen. Doing so can ensure that the new administration is upheld in prayer and supported with wisdom and guidance. Let us not fall into the trap of a hypnotic November, but instead, rise to the challenge of actively participating in God's plan for our nation.
